This role requires expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and visualization design to transform complex datasets into meaningful insights.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for internal and customer-facing use.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into effective data visualization solutions.
- Design and implement data models using Power BI DAX and Power Query to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, including analysts and executives, to provide actionable insights.
- Optimize report performance, ensuring best practices in data modeling and visualization.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and governance within the Power BI environment.
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing reports based on business feedback.
- Train and support end-users in utilizing Power BI for decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, including report creation and data modeling.
- Proficiency in Power BI DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and UI/UX best practices.
- Experience in SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
- Ability to work with large datasets and optimize report performance.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data transformation, and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with other BI tools like Tableau or QlikView.
- Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.
