Job Title: Supervisor II, Laboratory (Lab) Hematology
Location: DeLand, FL
Hybrid
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday 9am to 7pm rotating Saturday's every 12 weeks
Job Summary:
The Supervisor II, Laboratory Hematology is responsible for overseeing laboratory testing, monitoring workflow from sample processing to results reporting, and guiding team performance. This role ensures compliance with quality standards, service guarantees, and company policies. The position is a licensed technical supervisor reporting to the Manager, Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily lab operations and workflow
- Ensure adherence to procedures and quality assurance standards
- Monitor performance metrics and improve processes
- Train, mentor, and support team members
- Manage staff activities including scheduling, evaluations, and development
- Ensure proper staffing coverage and resolve operational issues
- Participate in quality improvement programs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate on SOPs, training, and compliance initiatives
Required Skills:
- 6–8 years experience as Medical Technologist/Supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field
- FL Supervisor License in Hematology
- Certification (ASCP or AMT)
