Job Title: Senior Manager, Laboratory Operations
Location: DeLand, FL (Onsite)
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with alternating Saturdays every 12 weeks
Salary: $97,100 – $148,700 per year + $7,500 annual bonus
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Laboratory Operations to oversee daily laboratory operations in a high-volume, high-complexity testing environment. This leadership role is responsible for managing laboratory teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving operational excellence, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day laboratory operations and ensure quality, productivity, and performance goals are met.
- Manage laboratory supervisors and frontline staff, providing coaching, mentorship, and leadership development.
- Monitor operational metrics and make decisions regarding staffing, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, federal, state, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning and laboratory growth initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and resolve operational issues as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum 5 years of laboratory leadership experience in a high-volume, high-complexity testing environment.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory regulatory standards, including CAP and CLIA.
- Proven experience leading teams, driving process improvements, and managing operational performance.
- Medical Technologist certification (ASCP, NCA, AAB, or equivalent) required.
- Florida Supervisor License required.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
