Job Title: Area Safety & Quality Officer
Location: Modesto, CA
Work Setting: 100% Onsite
Salary: $216,700 – $255,000/year + 20% Target Bonus
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Area Safety & Quality Officer to oversee quality, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance across two hospitals in the service area.
This is a Director/Senior Director-level leadership role requiring strong clinical quality experience and the ability to work closely with hospital and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead quality and patient safety programs across two hospitals.
Oversee clinical quality improvement, risk management, and infection prevention initiatives.
Monitor quality metrics and drive performance improvement.
Lead regulatory, accreditation, audit, and survey readiness activities.
Partner with physicians, clinical teams, and executive leadership.
Oversee patient safety events, investigations, and corrective action plans.
Use data and quality trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Must-Have Qualifications
Active RN license required.
Director-level or above leadership experience.
Experience leading a Quality Department.
Strong inpatient hospital experience.
Experience overseeing quality programs across multiple hospital/service areas.
Strong knowledge of healthcare quality, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
