Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor II
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM (One Saturday every 12 weeks)
Location: DeLand, FL 32724, US
The Supervisor II, Laboratory (Auto Chemistry) oversees day-to-day operations of the Auto Chemistry department, ensuring quality testing, efficient workflow, and team performance. This role provides hands-on leadership, supports quality and compliance standards, and supervises laboratory staff on an assigned shift.
- Supervise and support lab teammates to ensure quality, productivity, and compliance
- Monitor workflow from specimen processing through results reporting
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements
- Lead training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations
- Manage staffing, scheduling, timecards, and coverage
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Participate in quality improvement, safety, and compliance initiatives
- Cover bench work as needed
- 6–8 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Laboratory Supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or related field
- Florida Supervisor License – Chemistry
- National certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
