Job Title: Director, Laboratory Operations
Location: Florida
Role Summary
Lead high-volume clinical laboratory operations with a strong focus on Microbiology. Responsible for daily lab operations, regulatory compliance, quality programs, budgeting, and people leadership across one or more lab sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee lab operations and ensure CAP, federal, and state compliance
- Manage budgets, productivity, and operational performance
- Lead, mentor, and develop lab leadership teams
- Drive quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s in medical technology or related science
- 10+ years Microbiology experience
- 8+ years lab management in high-volume environments
- Medical Technologist certification (ASCP/AMT/AAB or equivalent)
- Florida Supervisor License (or ability to obtain)
- Master’s degree (MBA or related field)
- Experience with lab expansions or system implementations
